21st Precinct – Eva Tarpin Has A Crazy Brother-In-Law.

The muster room is swarming with people after a dice game was raided. Leaving his patrolmen to handle the throng, Canelli takesMrs Tarpin aside to learn about her crazy brother in law. She claims he killed his wife, and so far has not been suspected. Everybody can tell that Fred has a problem, but Eva’s husband, John sticks up for his brother.

In voiceover, Captain Canelli describes administrative procedures, gives an update on the crap shooters, and talks to Lt King of the detectives on how the Tarpin case is going. John has been brought in to clear the air on his brother. Will Canelli get to the bottom of it, or convince John not to cover for his brother any more?

Voiceover speeches, near domestic meltdowns, gamblers still being booked, but John seems to finally come to see the seriousness of the matter. The cops have what they need, and spring into action to catch up to Fred. Things breakdown into gunplay, and a foot race before Fred’s freedom comes to a shocking end.
