Our Miss Brooks – The Burglar. 500312.

There’s a little adventure and drama as Connie gets a surprise early morning caller. She has managed to catcha burglar red handed, and he’s a mild mannered, polite burglar too. The man is just having hard times, and all he stole was food. He plans on paying back everybody he has stolen from. Eventually.

Miss Brooks takes Mr Philips, the burglar to school, and gives him a chance at a regular job. Food seems to be the theme of the day. Mr Conklin tries to invite himself to Connies for dinner since his wife is out of town, but hires Philips for the new janitor position.

As the new janitor does his thing, Connie meets with Boynton and more food related joking comes up. Not to mention that she notices items around the school are mysteriously disappearing. I think Connie is beginning to mistrust the janitor, but what can she do about the missing property? With help from that prankster, Walter Denton, Connie lays a trap to catch their thief in the act. Too bad all they manage to catch is the hungry Mr Conklin.

The truth is revealed at the end, and Mr Philips explains why the missing school items disappeared.
