Greatest Story Ever Told – Disputed Boundary. ep72, 480606

An old merchant has a business of writing letters for illiterate men. When a young, and seemingly educated man needs an anonymous letter composed, a bit of friendly advice comes with the package. The dispute involves the hand of a girl, and resistance from her father. There’s also a matter of who owns which fruit trees, and the rights to the produce from them.

The love between young Nathaniel and Ruth seems the only boundary their fathers know how to draw. Will the young lovers find a way to mend the dispute between who owns the parcels of land? More mediation is called for, and Nathaniel’s dad agrees to go listen to the Master. When Ruth’s father also decides to go, will there be sparks flying in the Master’s presence?

What awaits is a message of love and forgiveness, but is it all too idealistic? If only the other old gent could hear and abide by those words… or at least that’s the sentiment each has for the other. Will reason and calm prevail for the gents as they provoke each other in their own stubborn ways? Will the lesson in who is to give, and who is to love become clear to them?
