Our Miss Brooks – Cure That Habit. 500115.

With last Friday being the 13th, Connie and Mrs Davis talk about superstitions. To top it off, Minirva came home with two black kittens. The dippy landlady has a concoction for Connie to give to Mr Conklin to cure a case of hiccups. Walter pops in to take Connie to school, and talks about an ad he saw for an alcoholism cure. A product that he ordered, then had sent to Mr Conklins house as a prank.

At school, Mr Michaels from the school board is notified about the alleged alcohol problem of the beloved principal. His actual trouble with his hiccups seems to have mostly settled down, but recurs as his stress level rises. Hmm… Stress from the visit from his boss, the cure from Mrs Davis, and just being around the accident prone Connie. I’d say the set up is ripe for some classic mix ups and misunderstandings.

In the biology lab, Boynton wants Connie to do something about those two kittens that Walter brought to school. Since Stretch’s family runs a pet shop an animal exchange is set up. With kittens, frogs, and snakes entering the picture, I’ll bet the crazy mix ups will have even more ammunition. Especially when Stretch cleans Mr Conklin’s office and his little critter friends all come up missing. Definitely a show made for great slow burns from Conklin. Hello little frog… Little frog? It doesn’t work so well in print, you’d better listen to this one. But wait.. those school officials haven’t made their visit yet, and the disturbed, hypertensive Conklin makes his impression. Fortunately he has Connie Brooks to suffer with him in his misery.
