Lum and Abner – Lum May Adopt Grandpap. 430304

The etiquette books have the gents confused, but if they are to be taken seriously, they feel that grandpap should have parents for his coming out party. Abner is still reluctant to adopt grandpap though. As they continue addressing invitations, and checking their lists, Lum takes a message for Buster V Davenport.

Abner lists all the reasons he and Lizabeth have decided not to adopt grandpap. He’s a little old, and too big for wearing buster brown suits and holding on laps. Not even the annual father and son banquets at the church convince Abner.

Lum comes up with the best idea of all. The thought of the extra tax deduction is still not enough to fully convince Abner, but Lum begins to fall for his own idea.
