Joe Friday and Ben Romero are called away on a matter of life and death, when they respond to help with the investigation of a Chinese man. In the process they make a friend with a little boy who helps out by being a junior detective.
Can the boy’s words be trusted? Joe Friday sets out to prove as much of the boy’s testimony as possible. Clues include truck drivers in a truck, a blood stained handkerchief, and when more witnesses testify, it’s only a matter of time before a suspect is found and a case made against the criminal, but there’s a twist end to this murder.
