Journey Into Space – The Red Planet 2of20. 541013

Doc’s narrative from his diary tells about a bout of strange illness, and some of the living conditions on the Discovery, as it continues it’s long voyage to the Red Planet. At the moment, things are as normal as they can be as the reports are radioed back to Earth.

Information is requested on Whittaker, the crew member who has been causing some problems. Jet stands up for his crew member, and wonders what is behind the request. Strange events unfold when a sister ship in the convoy doesn’t respond to the radio call from Jet. As strange as that is, suddenly dangers on a new front appear.

A report of an unseen, solid object that lays directly in the flight path of the spaceships. Fortunately, it’s far enough a way to develop a plan to avoid it. Maybe. What is it, meteors, a gaseous cloud? The crew will have to wait until they’re closer to figure it out.

Meanwhile, Jet has to decide what to do about Whittaker. It seems that where ever he goes, wierd things happen, conflicts between the crew arise, and people have nightmares just by being around him.

Suspense continues as the word of the day as the crew has to deal with close calls with disaster and a collision.
