Greatest Story Ever Told – Unto the Least of These. ep18, 470525

Daniel is concerned over his aged father, Zechariah, who wants to travel to Galilee to see the Master. A family in need means that six kids need to be cared for while their uncle can arrive. It means the trip is delayed. Not just for a few days, but for months. Jonathan, the spokesman for the kids seems to understand the sacrifice being made, but Zechariah stays. How much time does he have left to live? It’s the old man’s dream to travel to see the Master.

Traveling, a stop at Bethlehem means an encounter with beggers. How can such unkindness be done in the birthplace of the Master, as to turn away beggers? The old man shows his hospitality, even if it could mean more delays. Along the road, his temper flares, but is calmed to find it’s a blind bigger who blocks the way. Not only is money given, but a donkey is bought to speed the blind man on his way to be healed. It means old Zechariah has given up his camel, and its now the one on foot.

Reaching his destination, the old man is assisted by Peter, as he is escorted to the hill where the Master is teaching. All that old Zachariah asks is to lay at the Masters feet. Will he find the peace and content he has sought? Will he be able to serve the Master well enough in his remaining years?
