2000 Plus – Worlds Apart. ep31, 501115

Audio is good, but is a touch overdriven in spots with a few digital artifacts of distortion.

What amazing, horrible, terrible things happen when a space craft enters sector G? Um… What’s sector G? It’s all about crossing boundaries into the unknown.

Captain Roberts is the daring test pilot of space craft. Cruising at 12 galactic miles per second… huh? Is that fast? He has nothing unusual to report, and its time for a relaxing chess game back on base.

Wait… there’s something wrong. What is that? A wild, uncharted comet from outer space? Uh-oh. Danger! Special alert! Spaceship Poenix is missing!

Somewhere, Captain Roberts and his small crew are stranded… but where? The space craft is damaged, but radio communications seem to work. Sirens scream as the space ship lands safely, but which space port is this? If the area is property of America, why does Captain Roberts need to be inspected, and show proper papers? Or is it territory held by America… or even earth for that matter?

Soon Captain Roberts finds himself with freedom taken away, and put under lock and key. What kind of captors are these, who claim to hear a heartbeat at 40 paces, or to be over 50 years old and look like they’re 20 years old? And green milk? Who ever heard of such a thing? Is it poisoned?

The only way out seems to be in jumping from their cell window to certain death on the rocks far below. Escape, and landing saafely on land, the strange colors in the sky amaze our captives. Secrets of where they are, and longevity are revealed. What will it mean for Captain Roberts?
