Gracie plans a wedding for a young military couple, while George has a war bond drive in mind. She gets on board when she discovers that Hollywood heartthrob, Ray Milland is to head up the bond drive. Tootsie Sagwell enters, heartbroken when her latest plans with her boyfriend have fallen through Can Gracie hook her up with Ray Milland? Bill Goodwin enters to poke fun at the old gal, and to pitch the sponsor product.

Felix Mills and his singers sing, In My Arms. Gracie loans Tootsie her own wedding dress, and has her friend wait in the wings for the big moment. First, Gracie needs to check out Ray Milland to make sure he looks as cute in person as he does on the screen. Is she going overboard in demonstrating to Ray, the benefits of married life? What will Ray think of George’s determination to sing in the show? Will he go for the stunt of being married on stage to raise money at the bond rally?

Bill Goodwin acts as Emcee, and barely restrains himself from the sponsor message. Ray takes center stage to give a patriotic speech for war bonds. Jimmy Cash sings, The Things That Mean So Much to Me. The exuberant vocal chords of George can barely be restrained from appearing on stage, but will the wedding of Tootsie to Ray Milland actually go through? Ray thinks its all a prank, and that its actually George made up in the dress. Since he’s already married, the joke is on Gracie and Tootsie though.
