Though radio signals have gotten through, there’s no way for Annie to know it. Danger at hand finds her following the friendly natives, being led down jungle trails. Vines and thick vegetation criss cross the paths. Look! Land sakes alive! A real temple. It must be from a forgotten civilization from hundreds, or thousands of years ago.
The natives chanting grows to a frenzied pitch as they reach the stone temple, and the procession of Annie, Joe, the Silos, and the rest of her friends reaches the destination. Chief Zipidi claims the sacred temple has always been here, but seldom used. That’s why the jungle had grown over it so badly.
A fight is brewing, and many of the warriors have been injured. Between Annie and Zipidi, they rally the men. The Silos put their Red Cross training to work to help the wounded natives. It’s time to be strong. No weak links. Can Annie rally her friends to turn the temple into a fortress against the raiding band from her rival, Steele?
Note: Shows in story arcs rare spotty at best. This one ends here, leaving us hanging as to whether their defenses hold out, or if Daddy Warbucks swoops in with deliverance. Rest assured that Annie gets out of her scrape, since new adventures are in her future for years to come.
