Out on the trail, Britt meets up with a singing cowboy named Toby yager, and joins his cattle drive. At the campfire, Britt gets a music lesson at playing guitar as Toby tells a little about himself. Later, Britt rides to the O’Hara homestead to learn the troubling news. There has been a break in, and the description of the theif matches Britt’s new friend Toby.
What can Britt do? He leads the sheriff on the trail where he last knew that Toby was on. Something seems fishy to Britt, but he does his duty. The evidence is slim, and circumstantial. Conflicting evidence arises, but did Toby actually do the crime? It all clicks for Britt, and he confronts the guilty man.
