Six Shooter – Anna Nordquist. 540506.

After coming off the trail, Britt gets the latest gossip on the happenings in town. A big trial has gone down, and the scandal is dished out for Britt to make sense of. Though he’s not entirely interested in the gossip part of it, some discrepancies in the story catch Britts ear, and he asks his own questions to stop the hanging of a possibly innocent man.

Is Pete guilty, or not? Anna can’t believe it, but it takes more than believing it so to change the facts. Can Britt help her find some hard evidence to prove Pete innocent? The evidence seems circumstantial, convincing, but Britt begins to see holes in the case. Where’s the murder weapon anyway? It’s a story of an injustice of the heart, more than an injustice of the law.

If Pete really is guilty, then he needs to quit letting Anna believe he’s not. The ordeal will ruin her, and break her spirit and trust in people if he won’t.
