In the late 1930’s, the war is breaking out in Europe, and news headlines blast the political unrest. In other news, Pat O’Toole is an American reporter, who is trying to get the news on a wealthy heiress, and socialite. Can he get a story on her upcoming marriage to a baron? Not taking no for his answer, O’Toole follows the woman across the continent, racing along with Hitler, and his progress across the land. Soon, it becomes O’Tools mission not so much to cover the story, but to break up the wealthy couple, if he can.

Using a little alcohol to loosen the inhibitions, the cultured dame loosened up, but is all the war news as serious as it’s made out to be? Will paranoia about spies change things?

Kate gives up her passport to save a Jewish woman, then is helped by Pat to fake her death, and escape her husband who has ties to the Nazi’s.
