Great Gildersleeve – Springtime in Summerfield. ep75, 430328

Spring does something to people, and we learn that it has certainly done something to the great
Gildersleeve. He explains to Marjorie what its like to be in love. How well will he be received so early in the morning by Leila Ransom? Though she isn’t in a good mood, the judge is.

At the office Bessie announces that Leila is visiting. In a much better mood, she tries to make amends. Grumbling over his woman problems, Gildy heads to the reservoir to talk to Charlie Anderson. Instead he finds Peavy. By jiggers, that gol darned Charlie enters to complain about the young lovers coming out to litter the place. Dad blame it! What advice might the guys share on dealing with the ladies?

Back home even Leroy is experiencing his springtime girl troubles. What about Marjorie and the indecisive Ben? Gildy tries using world events to make small talk with Leila, but he may find he doesn’t need to. They end up sitting at the piano for a few bars of Moonlight Sonata, then Gildy sings, Moonlight Becomes You.
