Retro OTRDiary – Voices Of Christmas Past (retro509)

Keith gets tired of the worn out Christmas carols, and goes on a search for what people listened to before animated snowmen, flying reindeer with red noses, and dreams of white snowy landscapes greeted us.

Get ready to fill your ears with a slice of Christmas from 100 years ago… more or less. I know, it’s not old radio. It predates the first official radio broadcast by as much as a decade. However, since the earliest days of radio featured programming similar to today’s formats of music, news, and talk, these recordings could very well have made it into the early airwaves.

At the least, I hope you find this interesting as a historical bit of entertainment. Cutting edge stuff for our great grandparents to be sure.
