A murder has gone down that seems as cut and dried as it can get. Even Britt Reed doesn’t see any reason to get involved. It’s his sweet natured secretary, Gayle who has picked up on the tiny clue to raise a shadow of doubt. Is it enough to move the Green Hornet to stick his neck out? The cops are baffled at a rescue of one of their own from a fire by the Green Hornet. Is he turning boy scout, doing good deeds all of a sudden? What does he have to do with the murder, and the arson that was set as a cover up?
Miss Robertson is still adamant in her admission to the murder, but Britt Reed is determined to figure what’s really motivating her. Why is she willing to take the blame, and for who?
Enough loose ends have emerged, and seeing his chance the Green Hornet swoops down on his suspect. All the pieces of the puzzle have been neatly laid at the feet of the cops to clear the innocent, and nail the crooks.
