Gene Autry – Infected Cattle – First Song – Four Leaf Clover.

Gene opens with a song, Four Leaf Clover. He follows it with, Don’t
Be Afraid to Go Home.

In the bunkhouse, Pat Buttram complains about his Murphey bed, and other room furnishings. He also complains about not having enough old songs. He’s tired of all these new songs.

Gene sings, I’m a Fool to Care.

One thing that cattlemen dread most is an epidemic. On the range, Gene soon finds that his cattle are falling over, dead. What does the local indian chief know about it? The hoof in mouth disease seems to be originating with Silver Eagle’s herd, but he thinks the interference from the white man is the problem. Taking a more tactful route, Gene approaches some of the younger members of the tribe who are more aware of modern technologies. Tragedy strikes the tribe, but Gene may be able to use it to save the herds.

Gene sings, Rim of the Canyon.
