The Cass County Boys and Blue Jeans sing, Hot Digitity Dog Digity.

Pat Buttram butts in to fill in where Gene normally would take over. He tells about the job he held back on the farm. He shares with announcer, Charlie Lions, that Gene is retiring from his 17 year run on the radio. Pat gowes on to tell about a relative of his own who retired.

Mel Oberly sings, Sixteen Tons.

Johnny Bond says some farewell words then sings, Way Down Yonder in the Indian Nation.

The Cass County Boys get teased by Pat, then they sing, The Wayward Wind.

Pat puts in a word from each of the cast, then plays a recording of Gene singing, That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine.

A telegram from Gene is read to tell fans of jhis farewell thoughts, and 17 years on the air.

After the song, Home on the Range, Charlie Lions signs off. One last time Gene’s theme song is heard in its entirety, Back in the Saddle Again.
