Command Performance – Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra. 440603.

That perrinniel favorite of military men everywhere, Bob Hope has a star studded cast. First he talks to the troopies about life in the military. Judy Garland sings, Story of the Dixieland Band.

Judy spends some time joking with Bob. She wants to know Bob’s opinion of choosing between Bing Crosby or Frank Sinatra for her next film. Of course with all the talk about him, Bing can’t stay away and joins Judy for the teasing of Bob. Listen for Judy’s reaction and see if you can tell when Frank joins the fun on stage.

Under the guise of auditioning for a singing part in Judy’s next film, Bing sings, It’s Spring Again.

Bing’s choice of fashion gets besmirched by Frank and Bob. Frank sings, All the Things You Are.

Time for a decision, and it’s up to Bob. After the two crooners bicker over Bob’s decision, the two sing a series of song snippets, complete with well placed adlibs, to tell how they really feel for each other.

Bob and Judy pop back in just long enough to ham it up before signing off.
