Let George Do It – Partner In Panama. 491212.

Looking for a missing person, George hops on a flight to the tropical isthmus of Panama. He visits the exotic clubs to dig for clues. George’s contact turns up dead, and more death follows George the further he gets on his quest. The French girl he found in the club claims to know where his man went to. Will she be his guide and take him there?

George and the girl set sail down the coast in a river boat with a captain named Todd. They find their man, who signs off on papers so Hollywood can make a movie about his life. What’s so vital that people have been murdered to stand in George’s way to find his missing person? What’s so important about that movie deal? Or is there something more.

There’s some tense scenes as gunplay makes an appearance, and secrets are revealed about identities. Somebody isn’t who they made claim to be. George finds out the hard way, but his greatest challenge might be in returning home and trying to convince the jealous Brooksie that there weren’t any sultry dames on his exotic adventure. At least none that she needs to worry about.

PS: The national language of Panama is Spanish, but the girl in the club has a French accent. The club has some kind of exotic swing music playing, a rhumba maybe? But more often than not the music of choice in the region is Salsa, or plain old American pop, instead of Rhumba. But maybe it was different in the 35 to 40 years before I was there.

I’d have to say the jungle scenes are a little more realistic to the interior of Panama than the nightclub life. Still an interesting adventure.
