With Christmas over, Birdie shares with Gildy and Marjorie about her boyfriend, and gifts that she has received. Leroy comes in with the prospect of getting a new dog, but Birdie isn’t so keen as she anticipates being the main caregiver of the pooch.
The ill behaved, huge cross between a Great Dane, and a St Bernard, named Tiny soon gets on Gildy’s nerves. The dog wants to shred and eat everything he can get in his mouth. The unruly dog is sent outside to his dog house, but soon he’s annoying the neighbors with his loud howls and barking.
It seems that only Leroy can stand the critter, and takes him to sleep in his room. Maybe Gildersleeve can give Tiny back to Piggy Banks… but not even the Banks family wants him back. Maybe judge Hooker will like a dog? A solution finally comes, and Tiny finds a happy home. Will it work out to be as rewarding as Gildy hopes?
