After their adventures in the jungles of a remote South Pacific island, Captain Friday and Skip Turner find themselves responding to a request for help on the Sunset Strip. In a quaint, and intimate upscale salon, they seem to be stood up by their client.
To deal with the boredom, Skip decides to hassle the snooty waiter, and piano player. In a scuffle, and after Skip detects that he’s being slipped aMickey in his milk, he knocks out the piano player. A couple goons enter with a man who seems out of place with them. Who are they, and why are they watching Skip and Friday?
Just then, their client, Eve, enters, and the story develops. Skip has unknowingly knocked out a notorious gangster, and now his life will be in danger. The two goons are a couple of the gangsters thugs. The young man is the brother of their client, and he’s having one last fling before he’s going to die from a mysterious medical condition in a week.
Will Friday and Skip take on the job of being body guard to young Wesley? Will they go along to keep the family name untarnished, yet let Wes have fun fulfilling his bucket list? How might they get themselves out of trouble with the gangster?
