Retro OTRDiary 13 Superman – Fur Smuggling, July 1941

Early in the month the Retro Radio Podcast went on the road. The trip gave me the opportunity to have a discussion with special guest. Actually 2 if you count the 2 week old baby in the room who wanted to get in her 2 cents worth.

We cover the topics of Jimmy Olsen getting in trouble, and needing help that only Superman can give. Also the lame excuses that Clark often gives to cover up his secret identity, or explain the amazing feats that a normal person shouldn’t be able to do.

The Summer story arc took advantage of it’s appeal to young listeners, and teach them a thing or two about the great natural resources in America.

Keith reviews some connecting points from the previous story arc that led to this one. Then the likely direction the abrupt ending might lead. And what about those quick changes that Clark Kent makes back and forth to Superman? Deep in the woods, and with fractions of a second to make his changes. Clarks lame excuses seem endles. Bent up rifle barrels, and inaffective bear traps are just two examples.

Feel like joining in on a discussion? Send me an em ail! I may not be able to travel to you, but we can connect on Skype, in a chat room, or just over the phone. Don’t forget, your emails, or messages made with my new SpeakPipe widget can also be used in an upcoming podcast.
