Let’s see what’s happening in Pine Ridge. Lum was devastated after the lack of support at his unveiling ceremony last week. Dick Huttleston talk with Abner about Lum’s whereabouts. He has ben missing ever since he walked away from the ceremony last week.
Abner thinks he may have committed suicide, but Dick does what he can to comfort his spirits. Besides the lack of a crowd, it turns out the little 8 inch tall statue wasn’t exactly what Lum expected either.
Grandpap shos up with a report on Lum. Nobody has seen him anywhere. The lack of people at the ceremony was due to a prank pulled by Mose Moot, telling everybody the event was called off.
Abner is sad at Lum’s disappearance as he recounts the ordeals they have ben through in the recent months. The phone rings and Abner gives Lum’s girlfriend, Evelina, the low down on the latest news.
Since Lum missed his date with her, Grandpap and Abner get even more concerned. Abner puts the word out on the party line to be on the watch for Lum.
