Gunsmoke – One For Lee. 580126

When a train brings a visiting dignitary, gunshots ring out. The shooter has fled, leaving a trail of ruffled townsfolk in his wake, but Matt is only getting started. What kind of first impressions has all the excitement made on their visitor?

Matt talks to the senator to see who he might have in the area as an enemy.

The politician is a veteran of the Civil War, and not afraid of the threats of any assassin. Who’s going to be the biggest risk for Matt to try and guard, the senator, or Willie, the sheep man who witnessed the fleeing shooter?

With Willie on hand as a lookout in the crowd, Matt does his best to provide security to the stands, and the senator. The speech ends short when a gunshot blasts, and Willie is shot. With the assassin revealed, Matt reflects on the bitterness, and old war wounds from the Civil War that still haven’t healed.
