Family Doctor – Campaigning. ep33, 1932

A political rally is being organized in town, and doc is asked to introduce the rival for the mayor’s job. Rip Bliss takes the stage to deliver his speech, but is heckled by people who are planted in the audience by the current mayor. Will the tough questions do damage to the newcomer, or strengthen the support of his followers?

Doc hadn’t made any commitments to vote for one side or the other, but offering encouragement to Rip, he helps with a plan. How can Dunc Webb, the grocery delivery boy be able to help? How will the rally go for the current mayor?

With the grand promises made, all that’s left is waiting for the vote to come in. Who will win the race for mayor? Is doc seeking any cushy political appointments out of the deal?
