Though Pete had been complaining about the sorry state of doc’s car, Pete’s soon develops mechanical problems. A snail’s pace uphill, an engine that stalls out, misplaced tools, frayed wires. Will they ever get to Griff’s?

With one last hill to concquer, this one downhill, doc isn’t assured to learn about a lack of brakes. At Griff’s, doc finds him healthy and working on his boat house. What happened to the emergency medical condition? Will doc be brave enough to ride back to town with Pete?
