In responce to letters from servicemen Fred Allen hosts the show. Fred gives an update on how the Benny-Allen feud is going. Which of course includes plenty of jabs at Jack Benny. Kenny Baker sings, Johnny Doughboy Found a Rose in Ireland.

Henny Youngman makes a return appearance to joke around with Fred. He includes topics including dating women, night life in tough restaurants, and marriage. Similar to Jack Benny, he was a violinist, but his technique is to play, but with interuptions of one liners to interupt the song. In later years, the one liners would be the act, and the violin only a prop. Fred introduces opera singer, Gladys who sings Bless This House.

Fred introduces the next segment, a feature that didn’t last long on the show a sports update. John Scheerer reviews of the closing track season, and the warm ups for baseball season are included. Al Lyman plays, Deep in the Heart of Texas. To help troops feel less homesick, a slice of home life is presented with the sounds of bird calls from Indiana.
