Mel Blanc – The Broken Prize Record Of Caruso. 470107

As the young lovers cuddle up in the face of wintery weather, Mel shares plans to make something big of himself this year. Will he be able to make a good impression on Mr Colby? Not after breaking a prized record. Mel thinks he can repair the broken disk in his fix it shop, but when Colby visits, the pressure is on to get the record in usable condition fast. A local musician, Professor Potchnik, visits Mel to joke around, and might be able to help Mel with his problem.

Victor Miller plays, and the Sportsmen sing a swinging version of, Nellie Bligh. Mel’s repair job needs plenty of work, but Mr Cushing enters to complain about his marital life. Is there any hope for anybody to be happily married? Not according to the Mighhty Potentate of the Zebra lodge. Time runs short, and Mel is off to the Colby’s with Mr Potchnik to meet his doom. With Mel and Potchnik hiding behind a curtain, will Colby believe that it’s his record playing?

With cues to perform in place, it becomes a comedy of errors when Betty gives false starts to the hidden Mel. Will Mel be facing another threat to break every bone in his body? Is there any way for Mel to pull out of this mess and get back on Colby’s good side?
