Price is no object when customers order Lumburgers in the Meadowlark restaurant, and Lum tells how restaurants across the country clamour for his recipe. Abner has armed himself with a baseball bat, and a plan to crack open the oysters that Lum bought. Why is Abner hiding behind the counter? Will he need to lure the oysters out of their shells?
Grandpap has more telegrams for Lum. The chef at the Waldorf Astoria wants Lum’s recipe for Lumburgers. As does the chefs at the Chase Hotel in St Louis, and the Hotel Peabody in Tennessee.
Abner is thrilled to learn there’s a hotel with the name of Peabody. Does he have some rich relatives? What will Lizabeth think of that? Will grandpap ever get his tip for delivering his telegrams?
