Family Doctor – The Fatty Brain. ep11, 1932

As he looks into the hardware store window at the gardening empliments, Doc Adams is accused of having a slump in the medical business lately. Is he too good a medicine man for his own good and cured everybody in town? Will he be able to use some of his spare time to help the sheriff with a stranger who appears to be up to no good?

Chick Harbor is grilled by the skeptical Chief of Police. Is the young man harmless? How will he take the warnings that Police Chief Benson sends his way? Doc may soon find work with a patient as he applies some psychology to the overweight and overworked lawman.

Ending credits and theme music are missing.

PS: The introduction of Chick Harbor seems like it could be leading somewhere. He is little more than introduced in today’s episode, and not in the best of light as the police lay a lot of reasons to doubt his character his way. Is he going to be a shady character? His demeaner seems to be otherwise. Also Doc’s attitude towards him, and is sarcastic comment about the kind of welcome Chick had from the cop might imply good things in store for Chick. Doc gets a little revenge on the skeptical cop when he stirs up a little Hypochondria in Chief Benson. Love it, go Doc.

I think a little more than the closing credit may be missing, but I’m pretty sure this one is all there.
