Family Doctor – Enjoyment. ep4, 1932

Doc Adams talks with his wife on their porch, on a rainy night, watching the neighborhood. What do they have to say about the leisure activities of those around them?

When Mrs Adams is upset at the local drunk, and his behavior, doc tries to explain that alcoholism is a disease.

Later, the weather has cleared and on the sunny day a parade is enjoyed by doc and his wife. Still she takes time to point out old drunken Burt and his deplorable behavior. When a girl is in danger, it’s Burt who rushes out to rescue her.

It still takes some emergency surgery from doc before everyone is in the clear, and all patched up. The girl is safe, but is there anybody in town who cares for Burt? Who would even care if he were to die?
