Don takes us to jack’s house, where he gets phone calls from fans to congradulate him on his 15 years on the radio. Rochester brings him down a notch with a reminder about Jack’s film, the Horn Blows at Midnight. Jack goes to enjoy the World Series on the radio, if interuptions from the phone will allow. Mary enters with a letter from her mom. What does her mom have to say about the show last week? She refuses to do a joke, then plugs the fact that Fred Allen’s show comes back on the air next week. Phil plays some travelling music.
Waiting for the game to start, Jack complains about the Sportsmen. Can he get out of their high dollar contract? Don shows up, and this time Jack gets more than just a Hmm… out of the Stortsmen. Somehow it’s a bit more annoying for him when Jack has trouble shutting them up.
Dennis arrives with his mother, who gives Jack plenty of abuse. Stay tuned for the rest of the teasing as the gang each gets on Jack’s nerves.
