Betty complains to Mel that he does too much work for the money he charges his customers. Betty’s dad, Mr Colby enters, and misunderstandings and jokes about his wife begin. Can Mel come through on a repair to a leaky hot water heater? He has to rely on his uncle Rupert, and his assistant Zookie. As the mixups begin, The Abe Cavanaugh Trio play a sultry tune.

It’s time for a relaxing dinner date at the Colby’s, but things go south fast once Colby sees the half finished construction on his house. How bad can it get? A distant Colby relative takes offense, and refuses to step foot in the house again. Is that a good thing? Or a bad thing?
