A bar owner has a sideline of cashing checks for the local factory payrole. When the story comes out as a beat cop stops in, a disgruntled employee arrives. Later when the place is robbed, and the owner murdered, it seems an open and shut case when a handkerchief connects the disgruntled man to the crime. Casey isn’t so certain, but doesn’t have anything to go on. Later, when the man has an ironclad alibi, it looks like a crooked cop might be involved. Can it be? Or is there some other conspiracy going on?

Casey takes a trip to his favorite bar and some casual conversation with his favorite bartender, Ethylbert. It’s just the thing to become inspired. Since the cash is still missing, and the suspects are being closely watched, a trap is set to force the hand of the bad guys and put an end to the mystery. But not before another murder makes an appearance on the scene. Think you know who did it? Don’t be so sure until you give it a listen.
