At a dancehall, it’s late and time for the weary couples to go home. Though the girl is paid to be nice to the patrons, one particular gal is put upon to let her escort walk her home. Quinn is even pushy enough to ask to be let into her apartment. He doesn’t seem so creepy, and soon they learn they’re from the same home town. What is Quinn hiding from? Who is looking for him? Is it too late for the two to escape the hold the city has on them?
Vicky helps with a plan to return stolen money before anyone knows that Quinn even took it. All they need to do is replace it before dawn, and the secret becomes known. The matter gets complicated when a body is found at the sight of the robbery. They’ll need to solve the mystery before daylight if they want to be entirely off the hook.
Clues are gathered, a motive is discovered, and the race is on to locate their prime suspects.
It’s going to be a suspenseful ride, but Quinn and Vicky give it their best detective work. What shady characters will they meet? Will they live to see dawn, and catch that morning bus back home?
