Dean and Jerry are to sign a new contract with a nightclub. The owner has seen their act a few times. He thinks they’re great, but it’s time to come up with some fresh material. If the boys can do that, they’ll have a contract.
What can they do? Where can they find new ideas for a new act? As Dean and Jerry come up with nothing, they get a fan letter from Ralph Belamy. They meet and discover that he has a song and wants someone to sing it for him. It isn’t very good, but Dean sings it, and Jerry turns it into a major production.
Will it fly as their new act? It’s just bad enough, it might actually be good.
