My Little Margie – Verne Plays Cards at Home 550206

Like most hard working executives, Vern Albright needs some time to unwind. Margie’s problem is worrying about where he’s choosing to cut loose. She isn’t too keen on the lodge meetings where her dad, Vern runs off to hang out with his buddies. What kind of a club is the Rooster Lodge anyway? Can Margie convince Vern to stay home for a nice game of gards with the neighbors? At any rate, jokes about chickens, roosters, and other henhouse activities are featured.

Margie tries using psychology on Vern, but he won’t give in until she forces a social obligation onto him. Freddie arrives to joke about sneaking into the movies. The date is set, but Margie overloked one little matter. She can’t disappear to the movies with Freddie, since the neighbors need a baby sitter, so they can socialize with Vern.

Listen if for a laugh at the level of Margie and Freddie’s parenting skills. Or lack therof. The baby turns out to be an older boy, one old enough to be a handful for Margie.
