You are in the mountains of Ecuador, surrounded by blind men who want to take your eyes. The classic tale by HG Wells.
An adventuresome mountain climber discovers a lost city in the mountains of Ecuador. He first believes it will be an easy thing to use his eyesight to rule over this blind community. The culture, and society of this isolated community soon proves him wrong. The blind people don’t believe him, and are suspicious of their strange visitor. When they are told about eyesight, they think their visitor is a simplton. Now he is faced with the decision to join them in their blindness, or flee.
Who are these people? How did they get there? Is one class of people better than another based on physical traits, or ability? Is having eyesight really an advantage? Is it even possible to leave? Listen in, and enjoy this adventure as you escape into a new world.
If you’ve read HG Well’s original short story, you’ll find the ending has been changed slightly.
