My Little Margie – Verne Only Has 30 Days To Live. 541212

After a late night on the town, Vern Albright drags himself to the breakfast table in the middle of the afternoon. Margie gives him trouble at his wild night life of late. Why is the single dad so wild and free? Is he finally going soft on Freddie and welcoming him into the family, asking Margie to get married to him some day? Mrs Odett arrives just in time to get in her own jokes on marriage.

Vern learns bad news about his boss, and a strain of flowers that is having trouble in the hothouse. The boss wails about the demise of his prize flowers, they’re sure to be dead in a month. Margie catches only enough of the conversation to mistake the 30 day lifespan as that of her dad. In her mind it explains his wild living, and she’s now determined to marry Freddie before the month is up.

Will Freddie agree to go through with the marriage? Will it really be the thing to make Vern happy? Mrs Odett does her part as a bridesmaid, and it takes a last moment revelation of truth at the altar before the jokes, and mix ups about death, dieing, and marriage come to an end.
