Chester talks with Matt about Shakespeare, and the happenings in those old days. Buck is a man who is drunk and upset over losing his gal to a gambler.
Matt goes to the Long Branch salloon to see what Kitty knows about the affair. Usually people’s personal affairs are no concern to Matt and the law, but a murder has been threatened, and Matt wants to be sure it won’t happen.
Will Buck listen to reason? Will his woman troubles go away if he can take hiws gal back to his farm, or somehow get rid of his rival, Frisco? Time will tell, and Matt has to deal with a murder after all. Buck has his way, but in taking the law into his own hands, he has managed to gun down the rong person.
