Recieving an award at the lodge hall, Andy gives a speech, and gets an electric alarm clock. The clock proves to be defective, so Andy goes to the clock company to have it fixed. Why is there an armed guard at the Wilson clock factory? It seems to have been converted to a defense plant for the war effort. A word of sarcasm to their friend Lightning has the potential to do some damage to Kingfish and Andy later. Still, our friends manage to get access to the plant, but what top secret war plans might they disrupt?
The plant foreman is expecting a new part for the project they are working on. It shouldn’t be a surprise that the clock is mistaken for the part, and Andy is mistaken for the engineer who is to deliver it.
Will Andy and Kingfish be arrested as spies and sabateurs? Will the plant officials figure out that it’s only a broken clock? Will Andy ever get satisfaction for his life time warranty on the clock?
Andy tries his best to prove that he is patriotic, but those sarcastic words from Lightning could come back to haunt them.
