Over the weekend the lion has escaped and has been terrorizing Pine Ridge. Lum has to take the full force of the blame as irate citezens phone to complain. Abner discusses with Lum a few of the finer points in how to catch a lion. With everybody afraid to go outside, including the sheriff and even Lum and Abner, something needs to be done fast.
Why can’t Cedric go for the lion? Irving the lion seems to have become his pet, and Cedric is the only one in town who can handle the beast. Still, the whole thing came about over Lum wanting to impress Miss Fredericks. Will he be willing to be brave, and do something to save face with her and the town? A big lion hunt is planned. Will Irving be led into their simple trap? There’s a twist ending to the episode, but the lion remains free.
