There’s a bit of home repair to do for Fibber today as he fights with a window shade that refuses to stay down. The Old Timer pops in for a quick joke on the war situation. Abigail Uppington tells about her recent engagement to Horatio K Boomer. Donald Novas is on hand to sing, Have You Forgotten.
The faulty window shade has caught the attention of a neighbor who is a wrestler, and is jealous when he thinks Fibber is sending signals to his wife. After his narrow escape, Fibber is visited by Zazu Pitts as a harried housewife who is selling books to raise money, and her bratty kid played by Walter Tetley. The Four Notes sing, the Famous Ride of Paul Revere.
Boomer visits, but Fibber is left on his own to concquer the troublesome shade. Harold Peary, besides playing the wrestler earlier, is back to portray an interior decorator. Will he be able to help Fibber out? Somebody should.
Note: Molly is still missing inthis episode, though she will be back in a fewmore weeks. This may be the only episode where Fibber alludes to her being gone. All he offers though, is that she’s sick, but her exact ailment is never shared.
