Casey, Crime Photographer – The Piggy Bank Robbery. 480129.

After a long night, Casey is near sleep, but takes the time to listen to a friend who has just been burglarized. The only thing taken was the babies piggy bank. Why would a robber go for such small change? It seems that junior takes his bank with him everywhere, like a beloved doll, or toy, and someone on the street slipped something valuable into it. Casey’s friend, Bill has a key clue to the mystery, and the notion that there’s a story behind it.

In the Blue Note the overworked Ann and Casey give the latest news to Ethylbert. A gangster, Manny Armstrong, is on the loose, and has Casey on his trail. Jewels, counterfeiting, a gangster with hidden and forgotten secrets. How do all these details fit together? A phone call brings it all crashing together for Casey.

Now it’s a matter for Casey, Ann, and the cops to put together all the clues, and a code to crack it all wide open is discovered. For a reward, both Casey and Ann are thumped on the head, and are left with reporting what they remember to the cops. They still have enough to go on, and it’s a race to find the hidden counterfeiting plates before the gangsters can.

Time is running short, and the odds are stacked against him, but Casey takes on the thugs.
