Lum’s life with his fake broken leg has him down, but worse than the lies is the fact that he hasn’t been able to go on a date with the lovely new school teacher. His emotions are so bad, Lum tells Abner about a disturbing nightmare that Miss Fredericks was getting married to Frank Foster.
Is there a way Lum can still get in close with Miss Fredericks, and win her away from Frank? He comes up with a plan to call a school board meeting, and call off school the next day so he can spend time with her. An excellent plan, well thought out, nothing could go wrong with it… can it?
