Clark and Lois are hot on the heels of Huffman as he tries to flee cross country. Their plane is running behind, and further delayed by rough weather. As trouble mounts, Superman rescues the plane. The reporters go separate ways in their pursuit of the gangster. Clark hopes to gain ground, but doesn’t realize that Huffman’s plane has become grounded. Clark doesn’t realize that as he plans to speed ahead that Lois is left in danger.
