After the bank was forced to close, all that remains is the partition where the bank once operated. Lum gets Abner confused when he refers to the grass being greener in another pasture. Through the conversation, Lum gets the idea of converting the bank into a nursery.
Abner is still confused over Lum’s idea, and thinks he means a nursery for kids. Nothing Lum can say can budge Abner off the topic, or make him understand. Eventually Lum gets frustrated, and leaves Abner to tell Cedric about the mixed up idea.
