Spring has come at last to Summerfield, and Gildersleeves basks in it’s enfluence. His basking comes to an end when Birdie wants to do some Spring cleaning. Leroy is practicing magic tricks, and Marjorie has a letter from one of Gildie’s old flames.
Marjorie milks him for all the sentimental mushy stuff. Why didn’t Gildy ever get married to her if she was so wonderful? Has something happened that puts her back on the dating scene? At any rate, Violet with the violet eyes will be coming in on the train, and wearing a blue hat so Gildy can recognize her. Gildy goes into sentimental monolog mode to reflect on his old romance. His reverie is disturbed when Leila Ransom comes calling. Uh-Oh, how will his reuniting with Violet interfere with the big dance tonight, and the date with Leila?
Do I have to spell it all out? Just get ready for the fur to fly with jealous girlfriends. What will the big meeting at the train station turn up? Will Violet become Gildie’s new flame?
